Good evening!
Today was quite a busy day for me. Finished most of the line arts for the sketches that I made for the character sprites. I only have 3 more to go before I get to start drawing the different facial expressions and coloring every single one of them. I guess, for me, art is really not my definition of what I call "fun." Either way, I cannot wait until I get into the coloring aspect as creating the line art for my various character sprites can be quite a tedious and repetitive activity when I am tired. During this entire process, I realized that I still have a lot to go when it comes to the art. Nonetheless, I hope for the best in regards to my motivation and energy level. When I do finish polishing the character sprites, I will release some of them on here. Keep an eye out for that.
I know that this is also a place to share ideas and opinions in regards to what you want in future interactive story games or visual novels, but I recognize that I have only posted updates on this project so far. That is why I decided that in an upcoming near future post, I will talk about what I found that was amazing and disappointing in visual novels and in otome games, along with what I would want to keep constant and consistent, or change and make popular in such mediums.
Anyhow, as I get closer to the finish line for the art section, the more I look forward to the writing and technical aspects of this VN project.
Progress of "Time Crystal: War":
Currently in Progress: Line Art Draft of Character Sprites
Have Yet to Complete/Start: Drawing Various Facial Expressions for Each Character Sprite (Line Art Draft), Coloring the Character Sprites, Title Screen Image, Official Drafts of the Script, and CG's
Have a wonderful day!
